Natural summer glow and techniques

One of my favorite labels for natural, playful and easy makeup is Caia. The shades and colors are natural and sexy, and the ingredients are clean and nourishing. Most of the makeup line is multi functional which means that you can use the products almost any where in your face. Have in mind hygiene and that you might not want to spread a stick from your lips on your cheeks without cleaning the stick first, especially if you have spots or other imperfections.

Let's face it; most of us don't have the perfect and natural looks like Caias models and influencers, therefore have in mind that most of Caias makeup doesn't cover imperfections thoroughly. So if you are like me, without "already-flawless" beauty, you can still use the multi functional makeup sticks for playful application on the go. Just make sure to prep with basic makeup techniques.

DEWY DROPS + IT'S ICONIC

Caia is perfect on the go, and my favorite foundation is "Dewy drops" which is a serum-based foundation. It is super moist and nourishing but doesn't cover my pigment spots so I make sure to prep with Caias "It's Iconic" eller "Front Row" concealer. If you don't have either, use what you have.

TRANSLUCENT POWDER + THAT DEWY LOOK

Personally I find the sticks fun, but they slip, and because I'm used to doing a good makeup base already from the early mornings and can end up on a business dinner with near to no time for touch ups, I do recommend using translucent powder in the morning and Caias "That Dewy Look" luminous setting spray to freshen up during the day and evening. I even use That Dewy Look to pick me up (or some one else for that matter).

If it get's sticky due to warm heat and "heatstroke-vibes" you can easily tap your face with blotting papers or simply use some tissues from the bathroom. Just make sure to tap gently.

I have to be honest; I'm a sucker for Mac. I always have been, either you're talking about makeup up or my Macbook Pro. Mac is the best. But I have changed my habits over the years and prefer the vibe, products and results of a natural, fresh and dewy look from Caia. With Caia you can say bye-bye to that dry feeling in the skin, making you feel like a desert rose, already before business hours are over. I'm 52 years, so how the skin feels means A LOT. With Caia I feel moist and my skin doesn't feel "thirsty" any more. So I do recommend doing an effort to make Caia work.

SYDNEY HIGHLIGHTER + YOUR FAVORITE SUN POWDER

You can easily use a multi functional stick for contouring, but I still prefer contouring powder, simply because it doesn't slide everywhere and because I like the way powder builds a look gradually and almost airbrushed. But use whatever you prefer. Be careful with the highlighter, I suggest not being as creative as all the Instagram-influencers. I think it's important to always remember to LOOK, when it comes to routines we easily can forget that and not actually se the result.

I love highlight and a shimmery look, it can cut your age with 10 - 30 years, honestly. But there's a balance, don't go shimmery every where as it reflects sunshine, flash lights and can easy make you look white or sweaty. Highlighters come in many forms and colors, and the techniques are plenty. We can revisit the subject on a later occation.

I used one of Macs highlighters "Soft and Gentle" for years because it is just that - soft and gentle, but the past few years I've used Caias SYDNEY which also is a great base for the eyelid and around the eyes to create that magical touch. Remember that the results vary depending on your brushes or if you use your finger tips. One of Norways most esteemed Makeup Artist has used his finger tips for years because the products melt easier and leaves a next to naked but perfect finish.

POPPING BLUSH

Regardless of he brand you prefer I always recommend a blush with pop-effect, which adds a level of energy and freshness in your complexion. It's not for every person and every look, but almost nothing can freshen up and reset a full day at the office more than a blush with a smal "pop". Mac has great colors, and if your prefer that Caia-look they have great blushes as well.
